Dear Parents-
Happy Summer!
We are working this week to bring the 2021-2022 school year to a close. As we do so, teachers finalize student records, clean classrooms, and put away belongings. Office staff organize and file, process last minute documents, and clean out spaces. Administration prepares end of the year reports and closes out contracts of leaving staff. It is a time of saying goodbye, for some that goodbye is short-just two and a half months. For others it is long lasting. Last week we learned that Angie Gareis has accepted a position in Farmington next year. We are happy for her to have found work where she lives and wish her the best. Transitions continue as we turn to look into next year. We are currently interviewing and have offered positions. I will keep everyone updated as the summer progresses with all the latest developments. Please pray that we find staff who will help us live out our mission and do an excellent job for our students and their families.
You might think that the school becomes quiet during the summer. This is not the case. Our summer care programs are in full swing with around 70 students attending each day. We also have begun our cleaning and maintenance schedules. There is so much activity and the summer will pass very quickly.
Please plan to join us for Scholarship Night, our fundraising gala, this year. It will be held Friday, June 10th. There will be food, fellowship, a live auction, and an online auction. Each year, we rely on this event to provide $50,000 to $60,000. These funds are vital to meeting our budget. Please think about inviting a group and attending. The details are below. Just call the school office to reserve tickets. We appreciate any of the support we can get!
Stay tuned to this Summer News each week to get all the latest updates about what is happening at Divine Mercy. We still are accepting registrations in all classes. Spread the word. We will be here all summer working to make the 2022-2023 school year the best one yet!
My wish for you all is some time to relax and enjoy these long lazy days of our Minnesota summer. Family time is so valuable, and the memories you make with your children now last an entire lifetime. May you be blessed with joy and peace.
Thank you for keeping in touch with us. Enjoy the sun!
