New Parish Position: Parish Administrative Associate
Holy Cross is hiring immediately for the position of Administrative Associate for the parish. This full-time position provides administrative support to the pastor and staff, is a professional and pastoral presence to the parish community, facilitates communication among clergy, staff, and parishioners, extends hospitality to all callers and visitors, maintains the parishioner database and sacramental records and handles the weekly offertory

Holy Cross Young Adult Summer Activities!
Events include walking Rosary, SMores and Adoration! These are open to young Catholics ages 18 to 39. RSVP is not required, just show up! Outdoor events are subject to change based on the weather. Youth Ministry
Franciscan University (Steubenville, OH) has a summer retreat in Atlanta starting Thursday, July 7th through Sunday, July 10th. Our diocese is participating and encourages all the parishes to attend if possible
. Our parish would be joining St. Thomas More in driving to Atlanta.
The retreat provides a unique opportunity for your child to gather with teenagers from across the nation in Catholic community. The conference combines awesome talks, incredible music, praise and worship, time for prayer and fellowship, entertainment and liturgies.

Social Ministries
Interested in serving at Daily Bread??
Holy Cross will begin serving our downtown community every fourth Saturday from 9:30am-12:30pm beginning August 27th.
Four to six volunteers are needed each month to help in serving free, hot, nutritious and ready to go lunches.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.
