Last Sunday, at the 9:30 am and Noon Masses, the petitions were read in multiple languages to recall the first Pentecost where those gathered heard prayers in many tongues. We acknowledge the efforts of Carmel Berthalo,
Helena Dunn, Emilia Grove, Milena Encisou Guiza, Alyssa Hernandez, Michelle Ilagan, Rose Jauod, Florent Konan, Denise Li, Mariana Mihai-Zoeter, Joshua Goldstein Mori, Michiko Mori, Joyce Mulcahy, Feranda Nakandakari, Mark Ruminski, Miriam Ruminski, Ombretta Salvucci, Irene Sorensen and Yolaine Watkins. They translated the Petitions and offered them in Baoule, Cantonese, Czech, Dutch, Filipino, French, Italian, Japanese, Malayalam, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Sinhala, Spanish, Tagalog, and Ukrainian. Thank you for your contribution to making our Pentecost liturgy a wonderful celebration of our Holy Cross family, reminding us of our "one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church." A special thank you to Cindy Kratz for leading this effort.
