Greetings from Creighton in Omaha NE, where the College World Series will be held. I snuck my way onto the college field here just because I couldn't resist being around a little bit of baseball.
I'm helping with the seminarian retreat here as a Spiritual Director, and it's just such a privilege to watch people engage the Lord where the Lord wants to meet them and where he wants to lead them, as they go forward with courage, even to those places that are harder and more painful to go because the Lord has glory planned for us there.
That reminds me of a reading in Ephesians: Chapter 3, there's a verse that says God can do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. I encourage you to pray with that verse this week, as you're going through your day with whatever trials or challenges; like how will I start off my summer? Is prayer going to be a part of what's next for me? I'm just graduating high school, graduating college, or I'm graduating from junior high. What will be next for me ? Everything I've known is going to change now. Maybe you're changing jobs, maybe things are just going on like normal. In all those situations, for every single one of us, there's God who can do immeasurably more than we can ever ask or imagine. With all that's going on in the world, that's going on in our hearts, God can do immeasurably more than we can ever ask or imagine. Trust Him with what you don't think can be touched. Trust Him with an idea bigger than you can conceive' cause he can do more than we could ever ask or imagine.
God bless you,
Fr. Matt
