The month of June may
officially be "Immigrant Heritage Month," but at Centro San Juan Diego we celebrate every day!
We admire the commitment, sacrifice, and hard work of each of our immigrant students who take the time to invest in themselves, their families, and communities through continued education and spiritual formation.
We appreciate the patience, knowledge, and dedication of all our teachers and volunteers, many of whom are immigrants themselves, that selflessly give of their time, talent, and treasure to ensure that the Centro San Juan Diego community continues to thrive.
And we recognize each of Centro San Juan Diego's staff members, whose own immigrant heritage and unique understanding of the immigrant experience contribute to the success of all our programs and services.
Finally, we thank you, our of friends, donors, and supporters who join us in celebrating the Hispanic immigrant community in northern Colorado, and acknowledging the dignity and great potential of each person we serve!
Help show your support for the immigrant community in a concrete way this month at Centro San Juan Diego:

4. Pray! Please pray for each person that Centro San Juan Diego serves, that all may encounter Christ and share the joy of the Gospel with others.
"Today we can proudly say that we did it! That we are ready to take on all of the opportunities that are presented to us, and give our best every day." - Maria Aguilar (pictured 2nd row, right) addressing her fellow graduates on May 26.
Together with their family members both near and far, 19 individuals celebrated the completion of their GED diplomas on May 26. "Thank you for streaming this on Facebook," said Yesica Simental, one graduate in attendance. "My mom is watching from Mexico and I know she and the rest of my family are with me in spirit!"
Jose Urbiola and his wife, Martha Salinas, were also among the graduates in attendance, after making an 8-hour drive to Colorado just to participate in the ceremony. "This was worth the trip," Urbiola said. "My wife and I were so nervous; we argued, cried, and made up all before getting here! I haven't felt this much excitement in a long time!"
Throughout the ceremony, each of the graduates was moved by the excitement and pride in their shared accomplishment, and by the joy of sharing it with their families. "It was challenging to divide my time between work, my family, and the classes, so I especially want to thank my husband and kids for joining me in this achievement," said Aguilar.
Congratulations to all the graduates! May this academic achievement be the first step towards an even more rewarding life and career for you and all your loved ones!
