Dear St. Jude Families,
As you know, our Pastor, Monsignor Beach, received a new assignment as Senior Priest at St. Katharine of Siena Parish, Wayne. In his Pastor's Column, May 29th, Monsignor expressed his sadness at his sudden change and appreciation for his time at St. Jude Parish. This Sunday, June 19th, Monsignor will celebrate his last Mass as Pastor of St. Jude Parish at 10:30 am.
To express our gratitude to Monsignor Beach for his service to us as our Pastor for the past seven years, our Teen/Adult Choir will be enhancing the 10:30am liturgy with their beautiful voices. As a special tribute, we will also have any children present at this Mass participate in a special procession and presentation of flowers after Holy Communion. The children will be invited to go to the Narthex after Holy Communion and process together, placing flowers in vases and standing across the front of the sanctuary. One vase of flowers will be placed in front of Mary and one in front of St. Joseph for Monsignor's intentions.
We encourage as many parishioners/families as possible to attend this Mass as we celebrate the beautiful feast of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) and honor our fathers on Father's Day. We hope our children will be able to participate in the special presentation of flowers to show our gratitude to Monsignor Beach and our promise of prayers for him and his intentions as he transitions to his next assignment.
A social/reception will be held in the Narthex following each Mass this weekend.
Thank you,
Sr. Elizabeth Marley, RSM
