Greetings! Attached is our weekly bulletin for this Sunday, June 19th, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, a reflection from Fr. Canisius, and our Corpus Christi bulletin insert celebrating the members of our faith community.
Our 11am Mass this Sunday will conclude with a brief procession of the Blessed Sacrament inside of the church, in observance of Corpus Christi.
Nancy Marks and Cecelia Coffey will represent St. Charles at the Cathedral on Sunday, as Archbishop Lori celebrates the close of the Year of the Eucharist. We thank them for representing our community at this special Corpus Christi Mass!
As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ this Sunday, bring to a close the Year of the Eucharist, and embark on the National Eucharistic Revival, we invite you to watch again—or for the first time—the short video: The Veil Removed. It is a wonderful reminder of the miracle that takes place during the consecration at every mass.
The U.S. Catholic Church’s three-year National Eucharistic Revival is an invitation to the faithful from God to go on mission and be compelling witnesses of our faith. The National Eucharistic Revival begins this Sunday, June 19, the feast of Corpus Christi, and includes a National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis in 2024. Along the way, there will be parish, diocesan and regional events to increase Catholics’ understanding of the real presence in the Eucharist.
Copies of the booklet 20 Answers: The Eucharist are available in the church vestibule. “The goal of this booklet is to help Catholics and non-Catholics better understand the Eucharist so they can draw closer to Christ through this sacrament.”

This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways – both big and small – they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach.
So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent – grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches.
For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting. Guide them to be outstanding role models to their children. Let them look to your example and to parent with patience, unconditional love and understanding .

Church Grounds Clean-Up
Please mark Saturday, June 25th from 9:00am until 12:00pm on your calendar as our next St. Charles church grounds clean-up day. An Important Message from Our Pastor
Dear Parishioners,
I’ll be taking part in an intensive Spanish Immersion Program from June 27 through July 29 in Antigua Guatemala. This program will offer me the opportunity to continue to learn and work on my Spanish. Many priests and seminarians take part in this program each year in order to better serve the needs of our vast growing Spanish speaking brothers and sisters. The Archdiocese of Baltimore has granted me the opportunity to participate in this program this summer. I’m happy that I am able to do this, and I’ll be able to minister to our growing Spanish-speaking community within the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

O God, we know and have seen your goodness, and because of it, we cling to the hope that unity and liberation for all are within our grasp. Continue to show us your goodness, that we may have the strength to advance your kingdom with humility and grace.
