Hello Friends –
Due to a couple of time-sensitive announcements, I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to send the newsletter. So... it's a Thursday edition of the Friday newsletter!
First of all, on behalf of our loving parish, I extend condolences to our Office Manager and long-time parishioner, Deb Mahler who lost her mother, Vera French on Monday. Vera's Mass of Christian Burial will take place here on Friday at 10am, with a calling hour in the Gathering Space from 9-10am.
Also, we have rescheduled "Mulch Madness" for tomorrow - Friday, June 17 from 4:30-7:30pm. If you're able to help spread mulch around our campus, please join us! Bring a shovel, rake, gloves, wheelbarrow, etc... and plan to stick around afterwards for pizza on the patio of the Old Rectory. (Bring your favorite refreshing beverage!) We'll have ice cold water, a "misting tent" (aka, a sprinkler you can run through) and of course, access to the air conditioning and rest rooms.
Finally, it looks like the weather is going to break for the weekend, just in time for Corpus Christi Sunday! There will be a Eucharistic Procession after the 11:30 Mass, and a Holy Hour in the church following the procession. Join me in celebrating the Source and Summit of our Catholic Faith!
Under the Protection of Our Lady of Peace,
Fr. Dooley
