Dear parishioners and friends,
When you pray, do you feel Jesus close to you? Is He present with you throughout your day? Is He someone off in the distance, or someone that you know?
We don’t always think of Jesus as someone we know. It can be hard to talk to Jesus and even harder to listen to what He asks of us. We believe that He is the Son of God who died for us, but do we appreciate that He is also our friend?
Join us for a three-night mission to explore true friendship with Jesus: discipleship. How do you nurture that relationship just like the other important friendships in your life?
For a second year, we invite you to Revive this weekend at Sunday Masses at St. Patrick's Church with Fr. Charles Coury, Redemptorist. Come and get excited about the Mission held on March 19th, 20th and 21st at 7:30pm in the Church, 53 St. Patrick's Place, Staten Island, New York.
Like last year,
Revive will include music, sacraments, reflections, inspiring preaching from visiting priests of our religious orders, and a community Mass.
If these dates don’t work for you, don’t worry; you are welcome to attend any event in any part of the archdiocese. A list of all currently scheduled missions can be found at
FaithEveryDay.com – and more are yet to be scheduled.
Revive is program of the Archdiocese of New York that Cardinal Timothy Dolan and I encourage you to make part of your Lent. And please consider asking a friend to attend with you. A personal invitation is the most powerful way to connect or reconnect someone to the Church and the Gospel.
All are welcome!
