Nominations are now open for both General Member positions and the 2 Youth Member positions on the Saint Augustine Parish Pastoral Council (PPC). The PPC is a consultative body established to aid the Pastor in nurturing the spiritual growth of the Saint Augustine Parish community. In response to the movement of the Holy Spirit, the PPC assists the Pastor with discerning the goals and priorities of the Parish as part of his pastoral planning for all pastoral matters of Parish life. General Members will serve a 3-year term, and Youth Members will serve a 1-year term. Youth nominees must be ages 16 to 21 years.
The nomination period is open now through 11:59pm on Sunday, June 19th. Nominations can be made online (limited will be posted at a later date), which is the preferred method, or by placing nomination forms (attached below) in the in the box located in the back of the church.
Eligible nominees must be Catholic, registered members of the Parish, and meet the following qualifications:
- Knowledgeable about the faith;
- Knowledgeable of the various programs, apostolates, and initiatives of the Parish;
- Committed to the evangelizing mission of the Church;
- Demonstrate willingness and active involvement in Parish life; and
- Active in one or more ministry or initiative of the Parish.
One may nominate themselves or other registered members of the parish. If you are nominating someone other than yourself, please confirm that the person will accept the nomination before submitting their name.
