Hi there, everyone! Here's our Flocknote for this week! Hope that everyone is staying cool. It's a shorter summer Flocknote :)
1) Parish Picnic: Just a few days left until our Parish Picnic this coming Sunday, June 26th from Noon-4 pm. Please plan to attend & let's celebrate the community of our parish. We are still in need of side dishes, desserts, & people to help so if you can help in any of those areas, please do so. Look forward to seeing you there!
2) Today's Decision: Today the Supreme Court issued their decision overturning abortion. As a people of life, we are grateful, but we also must remember that it's not just a call to stop something from happening, but to work to promote a culture of life at each & every stage. A culture that works to promote & create a culture that values life, that walks with with those who are facing challenges in choosing life, & that works to enhance life from conception till natural death. We are called to be not just an anti-abortion people, but a pro-life people, promoting life at each & every moment. Here is a message from Bishop Malesic about today....

3) Vacation: I will be away on vacation starting this Wednesday evening & returning to the office on July 11th. I am looking forward to some time of rest & relaxation & returning recharged to you in mid-July. There will be NO Flocknotes for the Friday's that I am away.
4) Sacred Heart: Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Here is a prayer that we might pray today...
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life-giving fountain of eternal life, infinite treasury of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of love, Thou art my refuge and my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Saviour, consume my heart with that burning fire that ever inflames Thy Heart. Pour down on my soul those graces that flow from Thy love. Let my heart be so united with Thine, that our wills may be one, and mine may in all things be conformed to Thine. May Thy will be the rule of both my desires and my actions.
– St. Gertrude the Great (1256-1302), Prayer to the Sacred Heart (adapted by St. Alphonsus Liguori)
Have a Blessed Week & I'll see you this weekend @ the Picnic!
