Dear Friend,
Happy 4th of July weekend! May your time be blessed with family and friends as we contemplate more fully the gift of our country's independence and freedom.
Through the notes about the Constitutional Convention written by James McHenry, Benjamin Franklin was attributed to an oft quoted story about the fragility of freedom when he was leaving the convention. It is said that a lady asked Dr. Franklin, "Well what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?" To which Benjamin Franklin replied "A republic, if you can keep it."
Our truest freedom is granted by God alone, but civil rights and our very republic are the work of each of us and the work is ongoing. May God give us the grace to treat one other with respect, humility, and kindness so that the gift of our country may be put at the mutual service of one another and the world.

A New Bulletin Format
During the pandemic, Saint Andrew Parish shifted towards a digital-only publication of the bulletin. This was retained afterwards a we reflected on how we could minimize our waste on our campus (hundreds of copies were discarded every week). This weekend we are shifting the format once again so that the digital-only publication will be more readable on mobile devices. Please take time every week to read the important information about the parish through the weekly bulletin. Now mobile-enabled!
Vacation Bible School
This Summer, Saint Benedict and Saint Andrew will host a 5-day Vacation Bible School from July 18-22, 2022. Vacation Bible School is for rising kindergarteners thru rising 4th graders. the Program will take place in-person on the campus of Saint Benedict Parish Monday through Friday and participants will sing, learn about scripture stories, talk about the saints and grow in faith. Participants will be in small groups, led by our parish youth ministry volunteers. This 3.5 hour day will run from 9:00am-12:30pm. The fee is $80. per child and $150. for a family. Saint Andrew is starting the process for adults who wish to join the Catholic Church. If you know someone who is curious about Catholicism, would like to join the church from another Christian denomination, or would like to inquire about Baptism as an adult, let them know about the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults and share with them the following webpage http://www.standrew.org/learn/rcia/ to find out more.
