Saturday, July 2, is the Firemen's parade, don't forget to join us. Line up is at 4 pm at the Crozet Elementary School, follow the direction of the folks directing traffic around the school and the Field School. We'll have candy to throw and water for walkers. Welcome Fr. Dan Molochoko!
Fr. Dan has been ordained for the Diocese of Richmond since June 01, 2019. He is originally from Virginia Beach and is 35 years old. His older brother, as well as his parents, still live in Virginia Beach. Father Dan holds a Bachelors of Science in Education from Franciscan University of Steubenville Ohio. He also holds several current fitness and health related credentials : Crossfit Level 1, Virginia State Paramedic Certification, etc.
Fr. Dan attended St Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore MD, where he attained a Sacred Theology Bachelors as well as a Masters of Divinity. Previously, Fr. Dan has been assigned in Hampton, Virginia as well as the cluster of Portsmouth and Chesapeake. He looks forward to getting to know the parishioners of Charlottesville and Crozet.

Caregiver Support Group
We are seeking current, former, and soon-to-be caregivers who could support each other. No such group exists in any of the Crozet churches. This would be a place to share resources, ideas, ask questions, and would allow participants to speak with those who understand what they are going through.

We are excited to announce the offering of in-person faith formation for kindergarten through eighth grade on Sundays from noon to 1:15PM starting this fall. We are seeking an evening time for our high school teens. We welcome all students as well as adult volunteers to make this a fruitful endeavor. Please look for full details coming in July. St. Elizabeth of Portugal | July 5
Often called Peacemaker, Elizabeth was from her birth a reconciler of conflict. Her birth brought her father and his estranged father James to peace. Later when her own son and husband came to war out of jealousy, she rode between armies and reconciled the two men.
After King Diniz died in 1325, she went to live as a lay member at the convent of Poor Clares that she had founded. But her fight for peace was not over, she undertook a long ride to keep the army of her son Afonso IV, from fighting that of Alfonso XI of Castile. Although she was successful, she died shortly after from a fever.
Saint Elizabeth was canonized on May 25th, 1625, by Pope Urban VIII. In the United States her memorial has been transferred to 5 July since 4 July is Independence Day, a national holiday.
