Good Morning, Good Afternoon or Good Evening! Depending on when you might read this. I hope and pray everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer. We have a lot of exciting events and gatherings that will be taking place in July, so let's get started.....with a prayer of gratitude:
Loving Lord,
As I express my gratitude to you in prayer, may it be a pleasing, joyful sound to you.
Thank you, Lord, for your love. It brings me acceptance and significance.
Thank you, Lord, for your truth. It brings me guidance and direction.
Thank you, Lord, for your mercy. It brings me help and comfort.
Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness. It brings me stability and strength.
Thank you, Lord, for your beauty displayed in the earth. It brings me joy and delight.
Thank you, Lord, for your way of redemption - the cross. It brings me salvation and regeneration. Amen.
Assisi House
We are currently making some updates to the Assisi House to make more meeting space available. I want to thank the Knights of Columbus and our Grand Knight, Roland Schriever, for helping to make the updates possible. Once the Assisi House is finished, there will be multiple spaces available for meetings and gatherings. There would be the possibility of two meetings happening at the same time due to a new door addition between two rooms or it could be used as one large space. Once the renovations are all complete, we'll open it up so you can look. I am happy we have this extra space on our campus for all our ministries and organizations to use.
Overturning Roe v. Wade
What a victory for life with the recent Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Let us remember that we must still pray and sacrifice as the battle continues. Now is the time to begin the work of building a post-Roe America. It is a time for healing wounds and repairing social divisions; it is a time for reasoned reflection and civil dialogue, and for coming together to build a society and economy that supports marriages and families, and where every woman has the support and resources she needs to bring her child into this world in love. Thank you for giving to Life Line Coalition this past weekend. We collected $783.00.
Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Overturning of Roe v. Wade
Father in Heaven, we rejoice and give You glory as we celebrate the end of Roe v. Wade. We thank You that many unborn children will now be saved. We thank You for the many pro-life leaders who have worked tirelessly over the years to accomplish this goal. We thank You for the courageous legislators and especially the Supreme Court justices who acted in accord with Your diving Law.
Please continue to inspire many to stand up for the right to life. As decisions on abortion are now returned to each state to decide, we pray that every state legislator will act with honesty, integrity, dignity, compassion, and truth. Fill their minds and wills with Your will. Give them the courage they need to protect life from the moment of conception until natural death. Convict their hearts with Your truth.
Lord Jesus, Saviour of the World, in Your most holy name we bind Satan and all demons who desire the sacrifice of countless victims of abortion. Bind every diabolical spirit. Forbid them from acting. Dispel their evil activity. Protect all people from their lies. Free our nation from their oppression.
Mother Mary, you were the most glorious instrument of the Son of God in this world. You carried the Eternal Son within your sacred womb. Please pray for us. Please pray for all pregnant mothers. Inspire them to love and care for their children. Free them from fear and anxiety. Give them the help they need to embrace their vocation as mothers.
Saint Joseph, guardian of the Redeemer, you were given a special duty to protect and care for Jesus. Please extend that care to all children, born and unborn. Please inspire every father to have the same love for their children that You had for Jesus.
Come Holy Spirit! Consume our nation and all the nations of the world. FIrst and foremost, direct us to salvation. Lead us to Heaven. Free us from evil. Protect every soul from sin and save every human life from the horror of abortion.
Amen
Fr. Yates
