READINGS FOR SUNDAY 3rd JULY 2022
Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Isaiah 66:10-14. The intimate relationship of God with his chosen ones is described in terms of the bond between a mother and her child. It is a love that nourishes, renews and restores.
Psalm 66: 1-7, 16, 20. Cry out with joy to God, all the earth.
Galatians 6:14-18. The priority for a believer is not adherence to a particular system of rules or regulations but a new attitude which recognises that Jesus and his sacrifice call out for a response which can only be measured in love.
Luke 10:1-12, 17-20. The right companions and the right equipment are required in order to present an authentic Gospel message to the world. Time should not be wasted on those who reject the message but instead energies can be focussed on healing and help.

The second collection this weekend will be for Peter's Pence, which supports the Pope's ministry and worldwide charity. Donations can also be made using the contactless Dona machines in the narthex.
SEA SUNDAY, JULY 10th
Next week is Sea Sunday, when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. There will be a second collection for Stella Maris, Apostleship of the Sea, the official maritime welfare agency of the Catholic Church. Stella Maris provides practical and spiritual support to seafarers visiting our ports. As it is dependent on voluntary donations, please give generously. DEATH ANNOUNCED
Colette McGann (wife of Tom, deceased, and mother of Siobhan, Mandy, Kate, Charlie and John) passed away at the age of 89 on 15th June 2022. The funeral Mass will be held at 12 midday on Thursday 7th July at St Dunstan's Catholic Church in Woking. The family would be very happy for anyone who knew Colette to attend to celebrate her life.

WOKING LIONS KENT AND SUSSEX AIR AMBULANCE APPEAL
Kent & Sussex Air Ambulance merged with Surrey Air Ambulance about 8 years ago, for economy reasons, having been formed in the 1990's. They cover all 3 counties based in Redhill and Rochester with 2 helicopters and 3 rapid response vehicles which District Lions Clubs have funded over the last 4 years.
Speed of attendance at accidents is critical to save lives of badly injured. Lions Clubs from across the 3 Counties donated £150,000 10 years ago, to enable them to be the first AA service flying at night, and they still are the only one flying 24/7 & 7 days a week. Our support is needed to enable the AA to continue this much needed facility. Last year alone they attended over 2,500 incidents. £10 a month could pay for a unit of blood to treat a critically injured patient.

Please note our Open Mornings for parents to visit the school with regards to applying for a place in September 2023, will be on Friday 14th October and Friday 18th November 2022.

ADMISSION TO RECEPTION at ST DUNSTAN’S SCHOOL in SEPTEMBER 2023
When you apply for your child to be admitted into the Reception Year at St Dunstan’s School in September 2023, one of the forms you will have to submit to the school is the Supplementary Information Form (SIF). One of the questions on the form asks you to state how often you attend Sunday (or Saturday evening) Mass. Once you have completed the SIF form, a priest in the parish where you normally attend Mass must sign the form indicating that they confirm (or not) the Mass attendance you have stated. This will happen during December. Dates will be in the newsletter.
St Dunstan’s is a very large Parish, and it is impossible for the priest(s) to be objective about their response to what has been stated on your form. For this reason, we offer you the opportunity to ‘sign’ a register of attendance at Mass whenever you come on either Saturday evening or Sunday. In this way the priest can look at the register when you bring your SIF form for signing in December and compare the two.
Signing started on the weekend of, June 25th/26th. To join the signing process you need to come to the Parish Office on a weekday to set up a sheet for your child. You will also be given more information about what is involved. The Office is normally open 9.00-1.00 and 2.00-5.00, but do avoid times when Mass is being celebrated.

A day at the seaside with Fr Stephen Ortiger! Fr Stephen, a Benedictine monk who is currently working in Parish Ministry is looking forward to celebrating Mass and then spending the day with the young adults of our Diocese.
