Beginning last weekend, our liturgical calendar
moved back into Ordinary Time.
However, this does NOT mean that our liturgical celebrations are "ordinary" in the sense that they are "commonplace or unexceptional."
The word derives from the Latin ordo, meaning "the order of things."
We are reminded that the proper "order" of our lives is to put God first, rather than squeezing Him in between other commitments.
Let us count every Sunday as an extraordinary opportunity to encounter the
Living Christ in Mass: in His Word, in the Eucharist, and in one another!
