Administrative Associate, Annette Flagg!!!
Over the years, Annette has volunteered in a number of ministries at Holy Name of Mary, her home parish. She taught CCD, sang and played flute in the choir, formed The Children of Mary theater group for the youth, led the youth group and was a mentor for the young adult ministry, all while raising and home-schooling her five children.
Annette has a B.B.A. from Roanoke College, and started her business career in the mall management office of River Ridge Mall. She and her husband, Tim, live in Bedford. Annette is very happy to become a part of Holy Cross’ family of faithful and we are so blessed to have her here!!

St Joseph of Arimathea Cemetery Ministry of HC
A Committee has been formed whose mission is to restore and update the Holy Cross Cemetery on Bedford Avenue. We hope, as parishioners, you are aware that Holy Cross has a sacred, beautiful and historic cemetery that is over 140 yrs. old.
The committee is formed under our Patron, St Joseph of Arimathea, and is tasked with restoring the grounds, cataloging the gravesites, looking into a future Columbarium, among many of its objectives. It has been meeting for a little more than three months.
At this time our current focus is:
*Having sections of the property properly surveyed for improved management of remaining saleable gravesite plots.
*Writing revised Rules and Regulations to better manage the cemetery grounds itself.
*Writing revised Policies and Procedures to better manage the offering of gravesite plots.
Any questions you may have regarding interest in the functioning or future needs of the cemetery can be directed to Annette Flagg at aflagg@holycrosslynchburg.org.

Discipleship Week is an opportunity for high school teens from across the diocese who desire to know Jesus better and to live and serve as He did. This week is for teens who are ready for more: more faith in their own lives, more community with Catholic peers, and more action to spread the Good News.

EPIC is a one-day (August 6) diocesan event for middle school youth (rising grades 6-8).This event is intended to be a high-energy day that is focused on two things:(1) building community & friendships with other middle school youth, and (2) encouraging zeal for our Catholic faith.Throughout the day, youth will experience everything from inflatables to a service project and relay races to Mass.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.
