Many Hands Make Light Work for Vacation Bible Camp!
Each year our parish hosts Vacation Bible Camp for our younger children in grades K-5, but we need your help to make this a great experience. Camp runs from Monday, July 25th-Friday, July 29th from 9 AM-Noon and we are looking for the following support:
Teen volunteers entering grades 6-12 to help lead our campers starting with a mandatory training Thursday, July 21 at 6 PM at Holy Martyrs. This is a wonderful way to earn ~15 service hours and have tons of fun helping make memories!
Adult volunteers to help lead the games/activities and the arts and crafts stations. All that’s required is a willing heart. Adult volunteers must have completed Protecting God's Children training prior to camp. Please email Kim for more information at
kim.lovett@portlanddiocese.org.
Families and/or Individuals to setup on Thursday, July 21 from 9 AM -1 PM. Be a part of transforming St. Gregory the Great Hall into an adventure for our campers. A pizza lunch will be provided. Please RSVP if you are coming so that we know how many people to expect:

Prop Builders to take home materials to help build our "set" for the week. If you don't have time to participate during the week of camp, but still want to help make this wonderful week magical, this might be just the project for you!
Donations of Large or Extra-Large Animal "Stuffies" to decorate. We seek extra-large "life size" type animals, but we'll take whatever you have to offer. We'd also like to borrow smaller scale plastic animals/farm toys. All toys should be labeled with your family's name, dropped off at Holy Martyrs, and will be available for pickup after camp.
Pop tents to use as part of our indoor welcome space and for shading our outdoor stations. These should be labeled with your family's name, dropped off to Holy Martyrs, and will be available for pickup at Holy Martyrs after camp.
Thank you for your support!
