Parish Update -- July 15, 2022
Dear everyone:
Here are a few things going on this summer.
1. Congratulations to Lauren and Jesse Young on the baptism of their baby boy, Collins Jesse who was baptized after the 11:30 Mass last Sunday.
2. Our Sympathies to Amy Rollins on her death of her mother, Pat Dumas.
3. Photo Directory (Very Last Call!) -- We are scheduled to take makeup pictures for the New Church Directory on July 19 in the Parish Hall. This is a great way for all of us to get to know each other and for us to get to know you. This is also a good opportunity to have pictures made of your families. Below are the instructions for scheduling your appointment.
ONLINE SCHEDULING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FAMILY APPOINTMENT SETTING- Go to the Universal Church Directories website (
www.ucdir.com)
- Click on the box on the right side of the homepage entitled “photography
appointment scheduling login”
- Enter your church code ms114
- Enter your church password photos
- Click on the Enter button
- Click on the desired photography date
- Click on the Reserve Time button beside the desired photography
appointment time
- Enter the appropriate information in all required fields (indicated by the
asterisk)
- Enter your email address if a confirmation email is desired
- Click on the Schedule Appointment button at the bottom of the screen to
reserve the photography appointment time in your family’s name
- If you have more than six family members being photographed, please
reserve two appointments consecutively (such as 6:00 and 6:10)
- Print the next screen to use as a reminder of your family’s photography
appointment
- Contact your church’s online scheduling administrator to change or
cancel your photography appointment
4. Homework -- This week of service projects begins on Monday. They will meet at 6:45 AM in order to go work at Habitat for Humanity on Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week will begin a little later at 8:30 on Wednesday and Thursday. Then Friday begins at 8:30 AM.
6. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd -- Thanks to all parishioners who made donations towards the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium. For those who selected a sheep from the tree in the back of church, we ask that items be brought to the church office by July 27. They are needed for catechist training on July 28-30. The atrium is also in search of end tables, coffee tables, small shelves, and table or floor lamps. Please contact Laura Damm at 418-3266 if you have questions about atrium needs.
7. Knights of Columbus Baby Bottle Drive -- Thank you to everyone who participated in the Knights of Columbus Baby Bottle Drive. Because of your generous support they were able to raise over $2,500.00
8. Annunciation Catholic School is Hiring! -- They are looking for an After Hours Director in Starkville Wednesdays from 2:15 until 5:30 and other times if needed. Please send resumes to jhouse@annunciationcatholicschool.org
9. Food Pantry -- Distribution was moved to next Saturday, July 23 at 9 AM.
