One way identified of support was through small faith communities. Below in this survey you may indicate your thoughts in participating in a small faith community. Some of these communities are currently in place while others may need to be created.

The Ladies of the Altar
are in need of parishioners to assist in caring for the Sanctuary.
We meet every other Monday for approximately 60 to 90 minutes to clean, dust, vacuum, change the altar linens and any necessary work to keep the sanctuary a sacred space worthy to celebrate the holy sacrifice of the Mass.
Please prayerfully consider this beautiful ministry.

St Joseph of Arimathea Cemetery Ministry of HC
A Committee has been formed whose mission is to restore and update the Holy Cross Cemetery on Bedford Avenue. We hope, as parishioners, you are aware that Holy Cross has a sacred, beautiful and historic cemetery that is over 140 yrs. old.
The committee is formed under our Patron, St Joseph of Arimathea, and is tasked with restoring the grounds, cataloging the gravesites, looking into a future Columbarium, among many of its objectives. It has been meeting for a little more than three months.
Any questions you may have regarding interest in the functioning or future needs of the cemetery can be directed to Annette Flagg at aflagg@holycrosslynchburg.org.

Our Lady of Lourdes Circle is sponsoring a collection drive to benefit Miriam's House
Miriam's House is designed to end the cycle of homelessness for single women or mothers and their children. Not a shelter, Miriam's House seeks to be preventative in nature for the children and rehabilitative for the adults.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.
