RCIA is looking for Adult SPONSORS
Do you think you may be interested in being a sponsor for someone who is seeking to become Catholic? If so, please talk to us!
Sponsors journey with a group of people interested in:
- Being baptized into the Catholic Faith
- Professing their faith into the Catholic Church if already baptized
- Completing their Sacraments of Initiation if baptized Catholic, but not yet having celebrated first Eucharist or Confirmation
Sponsors attend Tuesday evening sessions with the person you are sponsoring, and accompany them to 11:00am Mass on Sundays. It is a very rewarding experience, and you too learn more bout your faith. We start meeting in August and continue until the end of April. To be a sponsor you must:
- Be a fully initiated Catholic, including having received Confirmation
- Be active in the Church and your Catholic faith
- Be currently receiving the Eucharist and attending Mass weekly
-If married, you must be married in the Catholic Church (or marriage convalidated)
- Be available on Tuesday nights and for 11:00am Mass on Sundays
Please call us for more information, or to volunteer as a sponsor
