Dear CtRCS Families,
Welcome to our second of three Summer Edition Crusader Chronicles. Be on the lookout for our final summer edition on August 11. Thereafter, you will receive the Chronicle every Thursday evening. This will be your main source for all school-wide information related to CtRCS. We ask that you make it a priority to review the Chronicle each week!
It's hard to believe that July is coming to a close, and before you know it, we will be back to school. We hope you enjoy your final weeks of summer and come back rested and ready for an amazing school year. We are so excited about all the new initiatives and programs that we have planned, including, but not limited to, National Junior Honor Society in middle school, new positions such as an additional school counselor, an early childhood enrichment teacher, a part-time STREAM coordinator, a student activities coordinator/volunteer liaison, and an IT support staff member. We are introducing elective classes for 7th and 8th graders and a "Wheel" enrichment course for our 6th graders. Middle school families will receive a special communication tomorrow regarding these new elective/enrichment opportunities. For our elementary school students, we are working with our teachers and third party companies to expand our extra curricular programs (more on this in our next Chronicle). As you can see, there is plenty to be excited about as we enter our ninth year of Inspired Learning at CtRCS!
As with every year, we have selected a theme for this school year. I am very excited to announce the theme for the 2022-23 school year: Be the Light
When people ask me what makes CtRCS such a special place, I speak of the children and their positive attitudes and actions toward those around them. What better way to remind all of us, each and every day, that not only is Jesus Christ the Light of the World, but we too are light for others. When we let our light shine, we help to lift others up and walk in the way of Jesus Christ. Mathew 5:16 tells us, Let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
We are looking forward to a very BRIGHT 2022-23 school year!
In the Light of Christ,
Dan Courtney
Principal
