Dear Parishioners,
At some point last week, it hit me that we are less than a month away from the start of the school year. I think that the older I get the faster summers seem to move!
During the summer we plan summer maintenance, renovations and building projects that are a challenge to accomplish during the school year. Last week I touched on four of those projects.
Our building projects, while they are an important support to our mission, are not our main mission. Our main mission as a school is to lead our kids in a relationship with Jesus, so that they can know Him, love Him, respond to Him in their lives, and ultimately live with Him in Heaven.
Each day at St. Angela, our kids pray, they study the faith, they engage all academic disciplines, they live in a dynamic faith community in school, and they learn to volunteer as leaders and as part of a team. They grow into greatness and lives are changed.
Our school year starts on August 11th. As begin, I would ask you to pray for our students, their families, our administration, faculty and staff (and their families too). I would specifically ask that every day we pray an Our Father, a Hail Mary and a Glory Be for the mission of our school. It takes about a minute, but the power of that minute means a lot to our school day.
Thank you for your strong support! Know that Fr. Lawrence and I pray for you every day.
Fr. Beau Charbonnet, Pastor
“Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
-Mt. 17:20.
