THANK YOU, JASON!
Jason Cote, a former Good Shepherd parishioner, recently shared his feelings about uniting with St. Mary Parish. He originally shared on Facebook, but with his permission, we are sharing his thoughts here. Below is Jason with his wife Cheri.
"I have been a parishioner of Good Shepherd in Linwood for almost thirty years. When it became evident that closure was almost a certainty, it was heart breaking and I felt lost. I didn't know how I'd fit in to another parish. There was fear that St. Mary's wasn't the same welcoming place that Good Shepherd was for so many
years for my family. I can honestly say, though, that we feel at home there. We
have been warmly welcomed by everyone we've met. This parish is rich in faith
as well as ministry to live out that faith. No parish is perfect. You can't be a perfect parish and Catholic at the same time. We go to church because we are broken and constantly in need of renewal of faith, hope and love. My family and I have found that here. Thank you to Fr. Nick and all of St. Mary's parish for helping us
remember home is where Christ resides, and He undoubtedly resides here and
in the hearts of it's parishioners."
