WE'RE HOME!
It's August, we're back in the office, and I'm just so excited about the Faith Formation opportunities we have for the upcoming year! Our focus for 2022/2023 is "All Things Catholic" and so, starting in September, my Flocknotes will be based on the 7 Sacraments and how, though they are something to be celebrated, they are also something to be lived out every day. We are a "SACRAMENTAL PEOPLE" which means we see and experience God's presence in all of creation, in small moments that catch our breaths, in times of joy and sadness, in one another. Our lives are graced and touched by God's presence and his invisible love for us becomes visible to us through water, wine, oil, bread, words, rings, hands...
The backdrop for our "All Things Catholic" opportunities this year is our theme: WE'RE HOME!
Every heart desires to find a place where they feel “at home,” and as a faith community, Blessed Sacrament strives to provide a place of belonging for everyone who comes through the doors, a place where people are greeted by smiling faces, where they can relax and “sit a spell,” hear the best stories, and share a meal at the family Thanksgiving table; a place where they can say, “We’re Home!” It takes each of us to create this home by being a community of love, acceptance, and forgiveness, sharing responsibilities and being accountable to one another so that when we say WE’RE HOME, we mean so much more than "this place feels like home," it means that WE ARE HOME for each other.
For this first note back, I'm just going to give you the calendar for the first few months of formation programming. Kristyn is still working on the website for registrations, but if something strikes your fancy, you can always register by calling or emailing me. Hopefully, I'll have links next week.
