Hello Epiphany Parishioners,
We hope this email finds you are doing well as we begin the transition from Summer to Fall. This week there has been a buzz in the air with the beginning of a new school year. There is an excitement about this year of new beginnings, new possibilities, new memories to be made, and new things to learn.
School and education are not simply about academics but rather widening one’s knowledge to absorb the truth about life. It is about discovery, sharing of ideas, and creating relationships with others who are passionate about similar interests. As this school year begins, the parish would like to invite you to consider how you will be growing in your spiritual life this year.
Going through elementary school one learns basic addition to move to multiplication. In junior high one covers algebra and high school or college it moves to calculus. This progression of learning continues to develop year after year. Our faith works the same way. God is infinitely knowable and established a Church so that we might continue to discover Him more in our lives.
This weekend, August 20-21, after all the Masses the Faith Formation department will be holding an Open House in the Family Center. There will be members of the parish staff available to support your family in its continued faith development. This can include:
- Faith Formation for children and youth (questions or registration)
- Sacramental Preparation for Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, or Confirmation
- Information on how to join the Catholic Church
- Family Formation
We also never stop going to school when we graduate, we are continuously learning new things. This passion for information insures we are always going, becoming a better version of ourselves, and progressing. The staff can also help explain or register for our Adult Formation Programs including:
- English and Spanish Bible Studies
- A Workshop to Reconnect with the Catholic Faith
- Other available parish resources for individual study
- Archdiocesan Opportunities
Please contact the staff with any questions and we hope to see you this weekend after Mass.
As Dr. Seuss once said, “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” We hope you choose to follow the Lord and know that we are here to assist you along the way.
God bless,
Epiphany Faith Formation Department: Matt, Charlotte, Joey, Janet, and Chris.
