How is your Lenten Journey going?
Hope your journey is going well. You know God has lots of mercy for us, so if you have had some bumps in your journey, just ask him for help starting again. Here are some things happening this weekend, you may be able to enhance your journey!
FISH:
There are always things going on at home and at school, but if you have some time, the Knights of Columbus will have two more fish fries and would love your help. Serve the community or the parish, that would be awesome way to evangelize to the public. March 16 and March 23, just come before 5 pm if you can to get instructions, ask any Knight what you can do to serve them!
BREAD:
Did you know there are four young people joining the Church and receiving sacraments this Easter? Well there are! And on Saturday, March 17 following the 9 am Mass we will be investigating our Church and what happens at the Triduum, especially when they are baptized, receive 1st communion and are confirmed.Come share with them why you like St. Joseph's. We will be talking bread and wine, Body and Blood! And we will be making bread shapes for the St. Joseph's Table, like we did at the confirmation retreat last year! (Bread shapes were the best last year!) Come help out, but be in the youth room by 10:30 am so we know how much pizza to order for lunch!
SACRAMENT:
We have been talking about lamb, wood, herbs (hyssop) and wine; the Pascal Lamb, the ultimate sacrifice, the Eucharist (and 22 sticks!), the past few weeks. We have one more session to cover before an Issue Night break and then Easter/Spring Break! ***Baby pictures of our teens and CORE team are needed for this Sunday, March 18. You may email them or bring them to Life Night, but don't share them. It's part of a "contest!"
Parents, I already have heard that some teens will conveniently forget their picture, or conveniently forget to tell you. SO PLEASE HELP! ndelarosa@stjoeleb.org.
Hope to see everyone Sunday for Life Night! 6 pm!
