We did a great job of showing up on time for DST last Sunday! Very few that were “fashionably late!”

Next Sunday, March 25, we will be hosting a Seder, a Passover meal. THIS SUNDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO GET TICKETS!! If you want to come, and forget your money, please get a ticket, anyway. Your credit is good with us. Furthermore, there have been a few people who have purchased a number of tickets to give away.
So please sign up Sunday if you have not already!
This will be a huge, exciting, and fun evening. Teams are being formed now to prepare. If you are asked to help, I hope you will jump in with both feet! There is a lot of food to be made, booklets to be assembled, fancy settings to be put up, and more!
The suggested cost for the event: $10/adult, $15/couple, $5 child, with a family maximum of $25. This includes a wonderful meal for everybody. But again, if you cannot afford this, please pay anything you can (IF anything), and plan to come anyway. This is a great and memorial event designed for the entire family!
The emphasis of the Seder is to reflect on the Passover. You can prepare yourself and your family ahead of time by reading and reflecting on Exodus 12-14.

This Sunday, we will continue our series on Jesus, our Messiah, Suffering Servant— Glorious King. The text this week is Isaiah 53.1-6. Our title is The Provision, focusing on some of the very real and powerful benefits of the cross that many believers miss out on because they are not even aware of them.
We will share communion at the end of the service, tied into the ministry and message. I’m looking forward to a powerful time of ministry together with you all.

Our decorating team will be ordering flowers for the sanctuary. These will be available for purchase, and can be picked up immediately after our Easter service. I will get more details for you by next week.

I’m going to put in a request for myself here, selfishly. We are closing on both of our houses on Good Friday, March 30. I would like to ask for help unloading our truck on Saturday morning, March 31. We would be so grateful for any help we could muster up!

Our local Missionary churches are hosting a Good Friday service on May 30, 7:00 P.M. at Harvester Missionary Church. Due to my moving, I will not be participating, but wanted to make you aware, and encourage you to attend.

When I first arrived, we spent time developing our prayer lives. Now it’s time to take a major step in Bible reading. Most of the Christians that I have known throughout my life have never read through the Bible before. If that is you, I want to challenge you to read through with me.
I’ve done this every year since 1987, and have a simple reading system that can help you get all the way through. My start date every year is April 1.
I have a page on Facebook that I created, with all kinds of resources, to assist readers in the pursuit. We keep track of where we are supposed to be in our reading, and we post notes and answer questions that readers have.
I’m giving you a few weeks’ notice of this so that you can prepare. You will need to be able to read three chapters a day plus one psalm. After we complete Psalms (on day 150), then we go down to three total chapters per day.
To check out my FB page, go
here. You can even ask to join right now (a member has to approve, and of course I would be glad to do that for each of you).
I’ll say more about it in the message this week.

Jennifer’s Harbor will host a fund-raiser at The Ridge this Sunday at noon, following the service. It is a chili and soup cook-off and bake sale! They are raising money for scholarships for the retreat they are holding next month. Please plan to stay and support this most vital ministry.

We would like to hold another baptism service this month. If you are interested, please let me know right away. I need to hear from you this week in order to do it this month.
The Alliance Church has been kind to us, and allowed us to hold onto the baptismal for a few weeks.
Thanks to Mike Krempel for fixing the leak in the baptismal!

Our church will hold a yard sale on May 31-June 2 (Thursday through Saturday). More details to follow soon.

And we will have a men’s work day on Saturday, April 14. Men, get it on your calendar now!

Keep praying about our garden project. This is going to be a HUGE deal, with all kinds of opportunity to outreach and ministry on many levels. We are just in the seed stage (spiritually and literally!), and we will tell you more about this in the coming weeks. For now, pray!
