The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart presents next season's offerings for the Music for a Cathedral Space: The E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Concert Series. We look forward to sharing all of these gifts with you.
Highlights:
The Dedicatory Concert of the Cathedral's new Choir Organ will be presented on Fri, Sep 23, performed by Richmond's own Bruce Stevens, Instructor of Organ at the University of Richmond.
Award-winning, internationally-renowned vocal ensemble Vox Luminis (Lionel Meunier, Artistic Director) returns to the Cathedral to perform their program Sacro Monteverdi (Sacred Monteverdi) with historical instruments on Tue, Oct 25.
Our annual Advent Lessons and Carols will be offered on Fri, Dec 16, with special guest, Richmond organist Daniel Stipe.
After having performed the Bach B minor Mass this past May, the Cathedral's own Schola Cantorum returns with Forgotten Clefs (Sarah Schilling, Artistic Director) to perform Salve Regina: Music from Renaissance Iberia, featuring Tomás Luis de Victoria's Missa Salve Regina on Fri, May 26.
