Have you ever visited the Sanctuary of Fatima? Touched the healing waters at Lourdes? Seen where St. Theresa of Avila lived, wrote, and heard the voice of God? If not, what are you waiting for?
Located at the Basilica Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux in Lisieux, France, We will be visiting this chapel that holds her body in a reliquary. Millions of pilgrims journey each year to spend time in prayer and reflection at this holy site.
St. Therese’s “little way” is that of trusting in Jesus to make her holy and relying on small daily sacrifices instead of great deeds. In many ways she is the patroness of finding holiness through everyday life.
St. Therese was declared a Doctor of the Church on October 19, 1997, by Pope John Paul II.
As part of our pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2023 and in honor of our parishes 100th year anniversary this will be one of the beautiful Marian Sites and Saint Shrines we will be visiting!
