We are excited to announce a pilgrimage to the Holy Land for St. Michael Parish and City of St. Jude Parish has been scheduled for March 14-23, 2023! An extended pilgrimage to Jordan is available if enough people choose that option. Fr. Peyton and Fr. Jones will be chaplains.
The pilgrimage features:
- a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee,
- a visit to Mount Tabor, home of the Transfiguration, and the prophet Elijah's cave
- the opportunity to renew your baptismal vows in the Jordan River,
- the opportunity to renew wedding vows at the Franciscan Wedding Church at Cana
- Mass at Bethlehem's Church of [Jesus'] Nativity,
- prayer at the Rock of Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane,
- walking the Via Dolorosa, starting at Antonia Fortress where Jesus was condemned to death by Pontius Pilate, through to Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site of Jesus' crucifixion,
- and much, much more.
