Next Steps - Update:
The Archdiocese would like each parish to pick three priorities with corresponding goals to advance outcomes where we have areas of opportunity (challenges). This is to be submitted by the Feast of Christ the King - November 20th. Father Papa has asked Pastoral Council to work on this initiative by identifying priorities, setting goals to measure and a plan for the implementation of said goals.

- For Cub Scouts, Ages 5-10 years old on Sunday, 9/18 at 3:30. We will be building and launching bottle rockets for the meeting.
- For BSA, Ages 11-17 years old on Sunday, October 2 at 5:30. We will have fun activities for at this event as well.

Discovering Christ - 7 session program
Discovering Christ is for anyone and everyone, from the baptized in the pews to the unbaptized person who has never entered a church. Discovering Christ helps participants enter into, or renew, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, experience the love of God the Father, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as God's children
Discovering Christ consists of seven sessions and a retreat day. The weekly sessions include four components: a meal, prayer time, a video presentation, and small group discussion. Also included in the experience is a 1-day retreat.

Why Attend the Pennsylvania March for Life?
On Monday, September 19 — the first day back in session for the PA House of Representatives— prolife Pennsylvanians from across the Commonwealth will gather together at the State Capitol in Harrisburg for the 2022 Pennsylvania March for Life.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade has transferred the determination of abortion legislation to the states. We need to communicate to our state legislators that we want abortion outlawed in Pennsylvania and how important it is to us. YOUR participation is an important way to remind them to never stop in their efforts to protect life in this state.

St Maximillian Kolbe Parish has started a new Ministry by offering help to any parishioner unable to get to Mass or a doctor's appointment or any other need because of transportation.
In addition, we also have the ability to provide meals to anyone who is having a temporary problem providing meals for themselves because of sickness or while recovering from any surgery.

Men of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish are invited to join other parishioner men and the men from St. Cornelius Parish for this weekly program. The group meets every Wednesday morning at the St. Cornelius Parish Life Center beginning at 6:00 am for breakfast, followed by a presentation, and small group discussions. The program concludes at 7:15 am.

Sunday Monthly Class Format: Students will meet in person every other week. On off weeks, catechists are responsible for sending out a lesson and assignment that will be collected in the next in person class. Catechists will include ideas for parents for teaching the weekly lesson, activities that can be done at home, workbook pages, and video clips that may enhance the lesson. There is already a template in place for these home lessons.
IMPORTANT: Teaching time will be from 5:00 - 6:15pm for the Tuesday session and 10:15-11:30am for the Sunday sessions. Car line dismissal will begin NO earlier than 6:15pm for the Tuesday session and 11:45am am for the Sunday session.
2023 Confirmation Class
Calling All 6th Graders who attend private school and are planning to receive their confirmation at St. Max in 2023. Parents are asked to contact the PREP Office now at 610-399-9642 to register your child.

With the increase in the number of guests served, that we have seen over the last year, we have struggled to meet the demand in a timely matter these last few weeks. Saint Agnes Nurses Center
serves the health care needs of the poor and vulnerable, uninsured population in the greater West Chester area. The clinic currently has a nurse coordinator position open which requires a current Pennsylvania RN license, all Archdiocesan clearances and trainings, and a heart for the poor, homeless and immigrant families in our community who, were it not for our nurse-practitioner run clinic, might otherwise go without medical care.
The responsibilities include being present for one of two, two-hour clinic sessions per week, as well as administrative responsibilities shared with the other clinic coordinator. While the pay rate is very modest, the benefits of helping to keep this essential clinic running are immeasurable!

They believe that God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and sent out in mission “for the life of the world." Join Catholic women from the greater Philadelphia area for a day of fun, friendship, faith formation and prayer at the Catholic Women’s Conference. The 2022 theme is “Be Not Afraid: Finding Your Freedom in Christ,” in which together we will discover the healing and freedom of heart that Jesus Christ desires to give each of us. Speakers include: Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT, Michelle Benzinger, Regina Boyd, Matt and Jenn Lozano, Katie Weiss and the Sisters of Life. Saturday, October 22, 2022, 9am-4:30pm, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Tracks available in English, Spanish and American Sign Language.
