The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is inherently bound to the mystery of suffering. In this Sacrament, Christ the good physician bestows spiritual healing on those who receive it in faith.
Though not exclusively meant for the hour of death, it cannot help but remind us of life’s fragility.

ABC: About Being Catholic Returns!
Everywhere we turn we can see the handiwork of God. Come and discover how Satan is a few steps behind Him trying to interject confusion and evil and get our eyes off God’s game plan. There are 12 one-hour ABC sessions starting on Sept 22, after the morning Mass, and continuing each Thursday morning.
Next Level is a collaborative mission of East Metro Catholic Churches to provide high school youth the opportunity to deepen their relationship with Christ and His Church, and to gain friendships with students who share their faith. Next Level provides youth in 9 through 12 grade an avenue to continue their journey in Christ beyond Confirmation through a combination of community-building and faith-formation experiences and encounters.
St. Pius X is hosting our kickoff event on September 23, 2022 from 5-9 PM. Dinner is provided. We will have a Youth Retreat with NET Ministries. There will be time for socializing, small group discussions, prayer, and laughter. This is a FREE event.

When was the last time you went on a spiritual retreat? As Kathy reminded us all last weekend, is it really ever a "good time?" Life is always so very busy.
How much God loves you and desires to spend time with you. Will you say yes to Him?
Our October 2022 Awakening Retreat is led by Fr. T.J. McKenzie and Nicole Bettini. It is a weekend of faith, prayer, community, laughter, awakening or re-awakening to God's love...and so much more!
While there are times for silent personal prayer, this is not a silent retreat.
THE RETREAT IS SPONSORED BY ST. PIUS X, YET YOU NEED NOT BE A MEMBER OR BE CATHOLIC TO ATTEND. How much we all need an awakening at times with our faith and friendship with God.
Grow in Faith
There is still time to register for faith formation and sacramental preparation for this school year!
- Family Formation (Registration only needed for K – 6 grades)
- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Ages 3 – 5)
- First Reconciliation & First Eucharist (typically 2nd grade)
- Confirmation (Grades 7 – 11)

About the Exhibit
Carlo Acutis, an English-born Italian teenager described by his friends as a “computer geek” due to his passion and computer skills began creating a website documenting Eucharistic miracles from around the world at age 11. Noted for his cheerfulness and devotion to the Eucharist, Acutis worked on the project until his death from leukemia at age 15. He was beatified by the Catholic Church on October 10, 2020.
A photographic exhibit of his work now travels the world and will be on display at the Church of St. Peter in North St. Paul:
- Friday, September 16 from 6:30-8:30 PM
- Saturday, September 17 from 5:00-9:00 PM
- Sunday, September 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 PM (2 PM video call with Carol's mother)
The exhibit’s beautiful panels document each Eucharistic Miracle with photos, illustrations, and background information on where they took place, witnesses to the miracle, and the lasting influence of the miracles on the people and places they occurred.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
