Support For Principal Beisser
Over the Labor Day weekend, Matt Beisser, the principal at St. Dennis Catholic School, experienced a severe house fire. Thankfully, the family was away when the fire happened, so nobody was hurt. Unfortunately, the entire house, and all the family’s belongings, sustained significant smoke and soot damage, which has rendered many things irreparable (clothes, books, photos, etc.) Several walls also sustained severe heat damage and will need to be torn down to the studs (2x4s).
Matt and his family are currently living in a hotel and will be there for at least 3 months. Hopefully they will be back in their house before Christmas.
Saint Francis Xavier would like to show our support to our fellow Catholic School community member. If you'd like to contribute to this cause, you can send a donation to school clearly marked 'For Principal Beisser' by Monday, September 26.
Checks can be made out to Saint Francis Xavier. We will compile the contributions into one gift for the Beisser family.
Home & School Officers Needed
Our Home & School Association is a parent led organization who's mission is to distribute funds (collected through dues and school fundraising efforts) that allow for extraordinary classroom experiences, field trips and teacher' wish list items. They also coordinate events that build community throughout the year.
We are currently in need of a President and Vice President to lead our Home & School Association this year.
Main Home & School Projects:
- Teacher Christmas Gifts (December)
- Catholic Schools Week Events (January 29 - February 3)
- Teacher Appreciation Week (May)
- Spring Fling (June 1)

Art Club
Students in 2nd-8th grade are invited to join art club!
Art club will be held on Wednesdays after school in the art room with Mrs. Kallenbach.

Boys & Girls Basketball Registration
Basketball registration is now open (through October 21st) for boys and girls in 5th-8th grades.
Practices will start mid-November and will be scheduled as follows:
- Girls: Monday/Wednesdays
- Boys: Tuesday/Thursdays
- Boys: Tuesday/Thursdays
Practice times and game schedule TBD.

KOATS FOR KIDS DRIVE
Our National Junior Honor Society Students will be collecting gently used winter coats for kids and adults through September 26th. The class that brings in the most coat donations will win fun prizes!
