Even though the weather did not fully cooperate for our parish picnic this past Sunday, over 100 parishioners came out and enjoyed food and friendship under the big tent! Check the parish bulletin at the link above for photos from the event.
Special thanks to Joe Muldoon and Lee Kinnally for organizing the picnic and setting up at OLPH School, Mary Patricia Ryan and Kathleen Ryan for supplying the tablecloths and centerpieces, Nancy Maleska and Kathy Soderstrom for handling the check-in table and 50/50 sale, and everyone who helped with clean-up at the conclusion of the picnic!
CYO basketball registration is now open until September 22nd! Teams for boys and girls will be offered from 3rd through 12th grade. We will also be running 1st and 2nd grade clinics for boys and girls on Saturday mornings at OLPH School Gym.
Our ability to field teams is always dependent on the willingness of volunteers to coach as well as number of players and parishioners per grade.
A $50 late fee will be charged for registration received after September 22nd.

Sign Up Now for CPR/AED Training
Did you know that AEDs have been installed in both churches in case of emergency? We invite all parishioners, especially those involved in ministries, to become trained in their operation.
Classes have been scheduled for Saturday, October 1, from 8:30 a.m. until noon or Tuesday, October 4, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Both classes will be held at OLPH Church.
There is no charge for the training, but if you would like a certificate, there is a nominal fee.

The second collection this weekend is the monthly collection for maintenance and repairs. As a parish with seven buildings (two churches, two schools, two rectories and a convent), maintenance issues arise which may not be fully budgeted. Your contribution to this monthly collection helps keep the parish running. Thank you for your generosity!

The Parish is temporarily suspending the Food Panty donation collection until appropriate storage space for donations can be restored. Those in need will continue to be served by the numerous food pantries in the area.
