It's here!!! We're kicking off the Youth Ministry year this Sunday at 6:00 PM! We'll play minute-to-win-it games, have snacks, hear a witness talk from a high school student, and get some small group time! Plus, we'll introdue our theme for the year! Your middle schooler is going to LOVE it! If you haven't registered your child for YM yet, you can do that here!
Youth-Led Mass // September 18 // 11:00 Mass
Please join us for our youth-led Mass this Sunday where youth of our parish will be participating in the Mass as lectors, greeters, gift-bearers, and servers. We could use more greeters and a reader for the petitions, if your child would like to help as well! Just shoot me an email to let me know! :)
Middle School YM Calendar
Here are the dates that the Middle School YM Sunday program will meet this year. All middle schoolers are welcome to attend, even if they are not members of Blessed Sacrament!
Parish Family Movie Night // September 25
Join us for dinner and a movie on September 25, 5:30-8:00 PM. We'll be enjoying a taco bar and watching the film Encanto! We'll also have a themed activity that you can do with your family. It's going to be a lot of fun!
Trunk-or-Treat // October 29
Join us in the parking lot after 4:00 Mass on Saturday, October 29, for a Blessed Sacrament family favorite! Sign up to host a trunk, bring treats, or costume up and collect the treats! Or just walk on over after Mass if you need a smile! Kids are welcome to wear their costumes to 4:00 Mass!
Please register your trunk or drop off donations of bagged candy by Thursday, October 27.
Adult Volunteers Needed!
Are you interested in passing on our faith to the next generation? I'm looking for adults who would like to serve as YM small group leaders. That might sound daunting, but we have a lot of fun, and the responsibilities may be fewer than what you'd expect.
- Out of the two hours that we meet each week, one hour is large-group time, game time, and activities that are lead by me, and one hour is small group time where you would be leading about 15 middle schoolers in activities and a teaching.
- I provide you with every lesson plan and all the materials. So there's no guess-work! The lesson plan is so detailed, it tells you everything you'll say to the kids.
- You don't need any experience or degrees for this position! All that's required is that you care about kids and that you love Jesus.
