Before scrolling down to see everything going on this weekend, including when you can have your pet blessed, take 1 minute (yes, literally 1 minute!) to learn or review what the Church celebrates during the month of October.
This weekend is our Monthly Food Drive for Wellspring (Hull) and the Cohasset Food Pantry. Currently Food Pantries are in desperate need of the following food, household, and personal hygiene items:
Canned and Boxed Meals, i.e., Mac & Cheese
Canned Stews, Soups and Chili
Canned Tuna (solid white), Chicken, Ham or Spam
Canned Vegetables, corn, peas, green beans
Rice, Pasta & Tomato Sauce
Peanut Butter & Jelly
Granola Bars
Cereal
Cooking Oil
Maple Syrup
Mustard/Mayonnaise/Ketchup
Juice & Coffee
Shampoo & Conditoner, Soap
Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
Toilet Paper
Laundry and Dish Detergent
Disposable Razors and Shaving Cream
If you have extra vegetables from a home garden, please consider donating them to the collection in Cohasset for the Cohasset Food Pantry.
This weekend’s second collection will support the Holy Father’s “Peter’s Pence” collection that provides funds for emergency and disaster relief. This collection also provides support to The Catholic University of America (CUA) that educates priests, lay people for ministry, and will assist the Inner-City Parishes of the Archdiocese of Boston. Your generosity will assist the Holy Father as well as the various missionary efforts at home and abroad.
