Thank you to everyone who donates their time and talents to our many ministries here at St. Ambrose. We have so many wonderful people here at St. Ambrose. We are truly blessed.
We have many opportunities for you to get involved and help us to spread the Good News of Christ through your actions and deeds. Volunteers donate, pack and distribute food to the needy, provide funeral luncheons for our deceased parishioner's families, and organize and execute special receptions/events such as Father Mike's celebration in the hall and our First Annual Golf Tournament. Volunteers help with periodic mailings (such as our newsletter) that require extra labor for stuffing and mailing. Volunteers lead scripture study groups, Sunday by Sunday, and Just Faith. Volunteers are involved in community involvement groups such as the Northside Winterization Project and Rosie's Garden. Volunteers plant, weed, and water our grounds keeping them beautiful. We have a volunteer Liturgical Environment group to help us keep the church beautiful and seasonal. We have many volunteers who participate every weekend by being Ushers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Sacristans, and Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers. We achieved our Bishop Annual Appeal Goal with the help of volunteers. We organized two "Ground Clean Up Days" and a "Make Our Spaces Sparkle Day". Our catechists and their helpers are all volunteers. Our photographers are both volunteers. Our choir members are all volunteers. Our donuts and coffee servers are all volunteers as are our Parish Council and Finance Council members. Volunteers also count what we give back to God every week. We know we haven't listed everyone, but know that all of our volunteers are appreciated! Volunteering is not just about hard work but also spiritual enrichment, relationship building, and working to bring the Kingdom of God closer.
We are including with this note the Volunteer Sign-Up sheet with all of the volunteer opportunities here at St. Ambrose. We hope you will find something that calls to you and will enrich your life and the life of others. Please either drop it in the collection basket, drop it off at the Rectory, or mail it to the Rectory office.
Thank you! God Bless.
