Priesthood Sunday
This weekend, September 24th-25th, the Vocation Committee would like to invite all parishioners to acknowledge the generosity and faithful service of Fr. Christian Bui and Fr. Thomas Joseph to our parish family.
One way to express our gratitude is by offering a Spiritual Bouquet (prayers, holy hour, or rosary) for them. A Bouquet Book for each priest will be available in the narthex for you to share your spiritual offering.

Festival Tickets On Sale Now!
Stop by the Parish Life Center after all Masses this weekend to purchase your raffle tickets and live auction dinner tickets. And don't forget to pre-purchase food and drink tickets and kids' wristbands for unlimited rides and games! This will save you from having to stand in line to purchase tickets on the day of the festival - Sunday, Oct. 9. Can't wait to see you there!

Festival Tree
There are two poster boards in the narthex with a paper tree on each one. Each has various items for you to donate towards the festival. Please stop by and pick a leaf from the tree. Return the donation to the parish office.

Vendor Market
Our vendor market has over 50 vendors! This year we've added a Bingo Card. You can go around the vendor market filling your card out by visiting various categories represented in the market area.
Live Auction Dinner
On Saturday, October 8th at 6:30pm, we're having our Live Auction Dinner. The meal will be catered by Lasagna House. All are welcome. Silent Auction Items

Festival Cake Walk
With your help, we can jointly make the Feast Day Festival Cake Walk a big success again this year! Donations of baked goods (cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, etc) from our fellow parishioners would be greatly appreciated.

Senior Saints Meeting
To all 50 years of age and young at heart.
Come and join us for a fun time at a Senior Saint Meeting on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in the Parish Life Center.
9:30 am - Fellowship Time w/coffee and donuts
10:00 am - Meeting starts followed by games.

Young Adult September
Game Night Event!
The SECC young adult group is having a game night at Fortress BeerWorks Brewery on Friday, September 30th at 7:00PM. Everyone age 18-35 is welcome, and they can bring their favorite board or card game to play!
Pro-Life Activities
Life Chain
For 35 years on the first Sunday in October, Life Chains have formed across cities nationwide. On October 2nd, we will host a Life Chain on the south side of the 200 block of FM 1960 W near I-45. With the Supreme Court reversal of Roe v Wade, this public, prayerful, peaceful testimony for life is more important than ever! This powerful and unifying time of prayer only requires a one hour commitment. Participants simply arrive at 2:15pm with plenty of parking available. We will distribute positive Life Chain approved signs and line up for prayer from 2:30-3:30pm. With your help this year, we can have the largest representation ever! Pro-Life Rosaries
After the Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses on October 1st & 2nd, the Respect Life Ministry will have a table in the narthex with Pro-Life Rosaries that will be given out. The rosaries are free, but will have a basket for free-will donations should anyone wish to be generous.

Save the Date
St. Edward Knights of Columbus Council 14512 will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on October 22, 2022 following the 5:30pm Saturday Vigil Mass in the PLC.
Proceeds will benefit Loving Choice Pregnancy Center.
10th Annual Chili Cook-Off Benefiting the American Wheelchair Mission
We need cooking teams for the Knights of Columbus Council 14512 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off held on November 12, 2022 on the grounds of St. Simon & Jude. Come join the competition! Registration fee for a cooking team is $150
(1 wheelchair) and spots are assigned on a first come basis.
The deadline is October 31st.
We are also in need of two men/women teams for a cornhole tournament being held as well. Registration is $20 per team.

Silver Rose Prayer Service
The St. Edward Knights of Columbus Council 14512 invites everyone to join in the Silver Rose Prayer Service on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 7:00pm in the church. Please join us to help celebrate Juan Diego’s Miracle of Roses from Our Lady of Guadalupe.
First Friday & Saturday
Partake in the First Friday Devotion on October 7th by spending an hour in adoration. Click the button to reserve your time.
Medical Mission in the Philippines
Give your support by praying for the success of serving 500-1000 impoverished people in three days!
You can also help by donating any used or unused medical equipment and supplies: reading or prescription eyeglasses, blood pressure apparatus, sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, canes, rolling walkers, splints, back braces, cervical collars, unused ace bandages, unused gauze, unused band-aids, unused gloves, and anything else you think might be useful for the poor.
We will put boxes in the narthex every weekend for parishioners to put their supplies there. Supplies will be collected until the end of September and items will ship out every week starting mid-August.
