26th Sunday in Ordinary Time
The meaning of the rich man and Lazarus is a warning to those that aren’t paying any attention to the needs of others.
This parable is designed to force us to reflect on how we treat “Lazarus-like” people. The rich man remains nameless so that we can place ourselves in his shoes.
The story of the rich man and Lazarus should lead us to the question: are we like him?
Do you treat people like that? Do you have the resources but refuse to give them? Is your heart hardened towards those in need?
The way we treat others shows us which direction we will take. But it's not too late for us if we find ourselves on the wrong side of the equation. Unlike the rich man who refused to repent, we can and find the life that we were meant to have.

That Man Is You
Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
All men 18-105 are invited to That Man Is You on Saturday mornings this fall. The topic is Theology of the Body with videos from Christopher West and Ascension Press with discussion thereafter.
We will meet at 7:00-8:30 AM in the Parish Hall, food and coffee is provided!
Meeting dates are : 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17.
Beginning in October, we offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of the Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. You are welcome to participate in the RCIA process with your questions, insights, and faith.
