Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
During the month of October, we will keep a basket at the entrance of each church with Rosaries for you to use and keep. The pamphlet racks in both churches will have take‐homes with the 20 Mysteries of the Rosary and the prayers. The Rosary pamphlet will also be attached below. Think about introducing the Family Rosary into your family’s prayer life. Also, ensure that you always carry Rosary beads with you.
N.B. - When printing the pamphlet above, make sure the print setting has the option "Flip on short edge" selected. The pamphlet is designed for 8.5" x 14" paper.
Project Update
St. Frances Cabrini Apartments
for Young Adults with Autism
After many months of waiting, we are happy to announce that the internal demolition and reconstruction of the former Immaculate Conception Convent into the St. Frances Cabrini Apartments for Adults with Autism is set to begin on Monday, October 3.
A proper road will be constructed to grant access to the building for the future residents, and the grounds will be landscaped.
We pray for a safe and successful construction as our parish looks forward to being able to serve a community in need.
Hospitality Sunday - 10/2

Blessing of the Animals

Immaculate Conception
You and your pet are invited to our Blessing of the Animals in honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi on Tuesday, October 4, at 3:30 PM. The blessing will take place at the Garden of St. Francis (pictured below) between Immaculate Conception Church and School. Bring your cat, dog, goldfish, hamster, iguana, or other animal, but please, all animals must be leashed or caged.
Everyone is invited even if you don't have a pet and are just an animal-lover.

Morning Out! Learn and Play is a parenting education program for parents of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. While your child socializes and engages in play with other children, adults discuss social, developmental, and discipline topics related to raising young children.
Format of each session:
- Meet & Greet
- Opening prayer - followed by children's songs
- Snack time for children
- Group discussion for the adults & supervised play time for children
- Closing prayer
Morning Out! Learn and Play meets on Tuesday mornings from 10 - 11:30 AM in the Lower Level of Father Fata Hall at Assumption Church.

PREP Update
Late Registration
Important information for families who have not yet registered for 2022-23 ICA PREP
PREP will continue to register children in public school, grades 1 - 8. Please call the PREP Office to schedule an appointment: (914) 961-1076. Please view the PREP Webpage for all necessary forms.
Keep in mind that the choice of class sessions may be limited for anyone who registers late (after September 14).

PREP Office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.

About PREP
ICA’s Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is an 8-year program intended to assist parents in fulfilling their obligation in the formation of their children in the Catholic faith. All families are expected to regularly attend Mass on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation. The program is available to public school children of families registered at ICA Parish.

Prayerfully Consider Sharing Your Faith
Jesus invites all of us to spread His Gospel to the entire world, why not start right here in Tuckahoe and Eastchester?
There is no higher calling than to spread the Catholic faith to the younger generation. The Immaculate Conception‐Assumption of Our Lady Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) needs catechists, classroom aides, and hall and parking lot monitors for the 2022–2023 school year. This call goes out to all adults, college students, and mature high school students. We particularly encourage those parents who have children enrolled in PREP to participate in any role in which you feel comfortable. The Lord calls all of us to serve Him in this vital ministry of the Church.
For PREP to meet its obligation to teach each child in the Parish, we need at least 35 catechists and a sufficient number of classroom aides and hall and parking lot monitors. Catechists are needed for each grade level from 1st to 8th Grade.

With our new Columbarium and Terrace Garden now open, we are accepting reservations and deposits for niches from people wishing to have their own or a family member’s cremains buried at Holy Mount Cemetery.
Each niche holds up to two urns of cremains.
