Prayer of the Week
Almighty ever-living God, you bestow the gift of life as you form each of us in our mother’s womb. Look on our nation, state, and community and awaken in every heart reverence for life. Protect our state from unjust laws. In your Name, bring to defeat every attack against the sacredness of life. Safeguard the rights of parents, whom you have entrusted with the care and formation of their children. Help all who believe in Jesus to proclaim the Gospel of Life to their neighbors. Dispel every anxiety and fear. Strengthen the bond between parents and their unborn child. May mothers and fathers accept and nurture the gift of life made in your image and likeness.
Our Lady, Queen of the Family, pray for us! St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us! St. Joseph, Protector of the Unborn, pray for us!

This Week at All Saints
This November election, Bishop Jeffrey Walsh and all bishops throughout the state are urging all Michiganders to vote NO on Proposal 3. If passed, the measure would add an amendment to the state constitution to:
- Legalize abortion at any time in pregnancy for any reason.
- Allow abortions to be performed by anyone, even those without a medical license.
- Allow any person to help teens obtain abortions without their parents knowing.
- Protect abortion providers from penalties for killing or injuring a woman during an abortion.
- Revoke state law that requires abortion facilities to be licensed and inspected.
- Require taxpayers to pay for abortions.

"You and your parish will be hearing more about the dangers of Proposal 3 now through election day, as this is an extremely important topic in our state. This is a radical proposed amendment to Michigan’s Constitution that would create a new unlimited right to abortion. Proposal 3 is the most extreme abortion proposal Michigan has ever witnessed — this amendment would invalidate dozens of state laws, including our state’s ban on tax-funded abortions and the partial-birth abortion ban.This 'Anything Goes' abortion proposal is a grave offense to the dignity and sanctity of human life. The Catholic Church in the Diocese of Gaylord and throughout the state are working in harmony with one another and with Michigan Catholic Conference, Right to Life of Michigan and Citizens to Support MI Women and Children to defeat the proposal.I am asking all Catholics and people of good will to make defeating Proposal 3 a priority from now until election day. This is an 'all hands on deck' moment to come together in prayer, fasting, almsgiving and action to stand up for life. As I shared in the recent issue of FAITH magazine, prayer can move mountains. Let us pray with confidence for the particular intentions of the Holy Family, who exemplify receptivity and fidelity to God's will. Construction projects
Willet-Hauser the stained-glass company is at our parish in the coming weeks to commence the window repairs at St. Anne church. We raised all the funds. The project may take 4-6 weeks of work. Daily Masses, weekday confessions, rosary, and morning prayer will be moved to St. Bernard until the window project has been completed.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - CHANGE OF LOCATION FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MASSES
Starting September 17th all Saturday Vigil Masses and Sunday Masses will be relocated to St. John Church of All Saints Parish for the duration of the construction work on the front steps of St. Anne Church. This is a TEMPORARY relocation. This is for everyone's safety as the front steps and the front 3 doors will be completely blocked off for 3-4 weeks. Once the front steps have been repaired weekend Masses will be moved back to St. Anne Church.
OTHER UPCOMING PROJECTS: In September major repairs on the front steps will be also taking place. The repairs will cost about $57,000. We did not have to ask for the money since we could cover the total with all the extra monies we raised for both the window project and the boiler project. Thank you for your generosity!

Starting September 17th all Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses will be at St. John Church of All Saints Parish to ensure the safety of all while the front steps of St. Anne Church are repaired and resurfaced.
10-year Strategic Plan
This Sunday Fr. Tyler and Fr. Michael will be presenting at the end of all the Masses the 10-year strategic plan. The details should be arriving in the mailbox. Please watch this video for more information. There will be refreshments after all the Masses to provide an opportunity for all parishioners to share their thoughts on the strategic plan with members of the Pastoral Council, Finance Council, School Advisory Council, and Strategic Planning Committe.
