Weekly At-Home Activity
Several of my friends and family use the month of November to list daily reminders of all the things for which they have many reasons to be thankful. This process is both meaningful and useful to remind them of all the reasons they have to be grateful.
This activity is an easy way to take a few minutes to think about all the things you can be grateful for in your lives.
It's a simple process.
1.Make the jar for your family.
2. Set aside post-it notes of colored paper for each family member.
3. Each morning, take 5 minutes before you leave for work or school and write down what you are thankful for that day.
4. Drop your paper into the jar
5.Allow yourself a minute of two to reflect on what makes you thankful for your written item.
6. Finish with a prayer of thanks.
After the month of November is done, go back and look at all the things your family was thankful for and talk about them. It will be a great way to get in the right mindset for the Advent season!
