It's National Vocation Awareness Week!
National Vocation Awareness Week is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these vocations.
Director of Priest Vocations at the Archdiocese of Washington and director of Pastoral Formation at St. John Paul II Seminary, Fr. Mark Ivany, joins EWTN to tell more about this special week for the Catholic Church. Fr. Mark shares how one knows if a vocation is what God is calling us to and gives advice to those currently discerning a vocation. The Director of Vocations discusses how the faithful who are not going into a vocation can support those who are. He explains what other vocations apart from becoming a priest or nun, people can explore.

Discerning God's Plan For Your Life
Sister Maris Stella tells the story of how she found her vocation with the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville. Beforehand she had a comfortable life with many friends, was in college and had a boyfriend. But when she chose the religious life, she began the greatest adventure of her life.
She shares how she was attracted to the genuine joy of the sisters in Nashville and how giving her life to God in such a way is more than worth the sacrifice.
