I am forwarding this from Lisa Irwin from the Diocese:
Please read the message below, and share it with others who haven’t gone to vote yet. I received it around 9a.m. this morning from Rebecca at Michigan Catholic Conference:
We have heard there have been some issues this morning with voting locations NOT posting the full language for Proposal 3.
Please look at your voting location and also spread the word for others to verify that the FULL language to the proposal is posted. By law the proposal language MUST be posted in full – in a conspicuous location.
If it is not posted:
1 - Please raise the issue with the elections officials on site – reminding them that by law the full proposal language must be posted.
2 - Please also let me know if there are issues, the location, and if they are/are not resolved after raising with the elections officials at that location.
One example - Jenny noticed at her location that there was a large poster size paper with Prop 1 and most of Prop 2 on it posted for people to easily see prior to voting. However, Prop 3 was not visible. Upon raising the issue, the official showed her that it was printed on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper posted where you would only see it AFTER voting. With her raising the issue though, the official capitulated and apparently did have another poster size paper with the rest of Prop 2 and Prop 3 on it that she eventually posted along with the other poster.
Thank you for your observance and vigilance.
Lisa Irwin
