Hi and happy November! I have been thinking a lot about gratitude lately. I invite you to consider what makes you feel, or to whom you express, gratitude. I have never spent much time considering gratitude. I go to church regularly and I tell all the important people in my life that I love them. Yet, when was the last time I said “Thank you!” for allowing me to be a part of your life? Do the people around me know the depth of my gratitude? Do they know how much richer and fun life is with them in it? My conclusion is gratitude is just as important of a sentiment as love.
If I am grateful to God for all he has blessed me with in my life and if I am feeling blessed and grateful because of my family, friends and coworkers - am I reflecting that gratitude appropriately in my choices? Could I do better? What would better look like?
As the holidays rapidly approach, I will be adding in some quiet time to be grateful for all God’s blessings. I hope this gives you pause to reflect on expressing your gratitude to the important people in your life too.
We have some fun stuff coming up that you might want to share with all the people you are grateful for so keep reading!
