Dear Friend,
There are many words used to describe the end goal of Jesus Christ's mission. Perhaps the most accessible is that Jesus' seeks for us to be in right relationship with God and with each other.
Assuming there are many worries and wounds in all of our lives, one of the most formidable remedies to what ails us is the activity of gratitude. Not only does our nation's Thanksgiving Day celebration launch the holiday season, it invites us into right relationship, a relief from the anxieties, tensions, and turmoil of life through our gratitude.
May this week ahead, marked significantly by the celebration of Thanksgiving be a blessing to you and those you love.

Family Mass is This Sunday
Family Mass at Saint Andrew Parish will be celebrated tomorrow, Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the 9:00am Mass. Students will lead us in the reading of God's word, our school choir will sing, and Fr. Sergio will have a homily especially for children (although adults get a lot of out of it too). After the Masses' conclusion, everyone is invited to join us for coffee and donuts in the gymnasium and to help set up the annual Giving Tree by cutting ornaments for the tree.
Blood Drive - Be a Hero!
The Knights of Columbus, and Vitalant (formerly LifeSource), will be holding a Blood Drive on Sunday December 4, 2022 in the Social Center/Chapel. Donation times will be available starting at 9:00am until 2:00pm Sunday. Sign-up sheets are now available after all the masses in the back of church. You can also sign up online by clicking here. CCHD - Second Collection
The annual Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) collection will take place on the weekend of November 19-20. For over 50 years, CCHD has been working in partnership with community organizations to address the root causes of poverty in the United States. They promote organizations that help people help themselves, CCHD grantees create jobs, improve neighborhoods, keep schools safe and enriching for children, and raise leaders of the future right here in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
