Guatemalan Coffee sales after Masses November 19 & 20. Pre-orders will be accepted for Christmas gatherings and gifts to ensure we have sufficient quantity when December rolls around.
In recognition of the Memorial of St. Cecilia (Patroness of Music) all are invited to a special St. Cecilia Concert which will feature the ensembles and musicians of Mary Queen with congregational songs, special music, reflections, and a blessing of musicians. Join us for this beautiful evening of music and community.
Mary Queen Church Christmas Children's Choir (grades 2-8) will sing at the 4pm Mass on Christmas Eve. There are two rehearsal options Sundays 3-3:45pm & Wednesday 3:15-4pm starting November 27th

We are now accepting donations for Christmas Candles and Christmas Flowers. The names of your loved ones will be printed in the bulletin for Christmas. The candles will remain lit until January 9th in honor of your loved one(s).
Suggested donation $10 for candles and $25 for flowers.
You may place your donation along with your loved ones name in an envelope marked Christmas Candle or Flower Memorial in the Sunday collection basket or leave at the parish office BY DECEMBER 14.

Our Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Knights of Columbus is soliciting donations so that we may participate in Supreme’s (National) Coats for Kids this winter to deliver new coats to children.
The local plan is to deliver coats to elementary school aged children in the Lexington area.

One box of 12 variety sized coats costs $237.38 purchased through the Knights of Columbus. Our council has voted to purchase 2 boxes to start.

Last month the Diocese released updated COVID guidelines. The summary for our parish includes:
- Eucharistic Ministers are no longer required to wear masks.
- The Cup may return to Mass.*
- Music ministers are recommended, but not required, to be vaccinated.
- May increase congregational singing
*We will return to having the Cup at Mass when we have sufficient Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Please consider signing up as part of this ministry. Our target goal is the First Sunday of Advent, November 27.
Adult Formation on Sunday mornings is held in the ELC Media center (also known as the school library) to coincide with the children's formation class time at 9:15-10:30am. All adults are invited!

MAGNIFICAT BREAKFAST
Saturday, December 3
Come to a Magnificat breakfast on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 299 Colony Blvd., (Hehman Hall) Lexington, KY where Hilda Pullen will be the speaker. Hilda, as one of eight children, was raised by a widowed mother in Pennsylvania and Detroit, Michigan as a Catholic. She met her husband, John Pullen, and had five children. Hilda suffered the difficult loss of two children, one as an infant and the other from a life-long illness. Her 3 daughters remain. IBM moved the family to Lexington in 1957, where the family became parishioners of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Hilda has been active in the Right to Life board of Central Kentucky since 1973. She begins each day with a rosary and a Mass on EWTN. She is a member of a rosary club and has made many fine pieces. She still enjoys gardening, a weekly bridge game and her cherished home. Please cancel reservations, if you cannot attend, three days prior to event. If circumstances prohibit timely cancellation, please consider sending a donation to our Magnificat Chapter to cover the cost of the meal that was ordered. Payment of $15.00 can be made at the time of the breakfast for those with reservations. Breakfast will be served by Suggins Restaurant. Mass at 8AM. THE DIGNITY PROJECT
Your help is needed to build the Dignity Project at the Catholic Action Center for the elderly and disabled who are without a home and care. A sad but often hidden and lonely secret in Lexington is that many of those left on our streets are elderly and disabled….people who may have lived a life with and now find themselves without: without a home, without family or friends to care for them in their aging and not fitting into the systems that provide care for our citizens who are aging. Often it is a temporary situation as they wait for a bed to open in assisted living but with the Baby Boomer generation aging, and services overwhelmed by the need, a temporary displacement to live in a car or on the streets is robbing our brothers and sisters of their dignity, safety and health. Other shelters in Lexington are not available for them because of their mobility and health issues. This gap in our community must be addressed. We at the Catholic Action Center have been taking many folks in but need to retrofit areas and add services in order to care for them with dignity and safety.
Many of you know the struggles to care for aging parents, siblings, spouses and the systems that have to be overcome to find that care. That takes time, persistence and love. We need your prayers and donations to make this happen. Please consider making a donation to the Dignity Project this holiday season!
