Hello Everyone!
I have two big announcements! This week we will not have youth night because of the retreat this weekend. Have a great weekend and I will see you at our last youth night on April 29th!
My second announcement is bittersweet as I will not be the middle school youth minister next year. I will be getting married and moving to Austin. It has been such a wonderful experience serving the youth at St. Joseph's, and I will continue to pray for you! I am happy to announce that our newest Ablaze missionary Sarah Lessmann will be taking my place as the middle school youth minister! Sarah has taken the time to introduce herself below!
-Mckenzie Neu
Hello! I am the newest Ablaze missionary and am going to be the new middle school youth minister at St. Joseph’s. I heard about Ablaze Ministries because several of my friends were Ablaze missionaries and over the past couple of years, I’ve seen how much joy serving the Lord through this ministry brings them. One day, a good friend of mine (who has no relation to Ablaze) told me, “I think the Lord wants you to be an Ablaze missionary.” So, I opened my heart and, to my surprise and excitement, the Lord immediately led me here. I am excited to meet each one of you and walk with your children in their relationship with Christ!!
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences with an emphasis in Youth Development. While in college, I was involved at St. Mary’s Catholic Center where I was on leadership for Aggie Awakening and helped start John 15, the freshman organization. I like being outdoors and am a huge fan of camping, hammocking, and mountains. I also like artsy things, Spotify, coffee dates with friends, Disney, traveling, and growing in my relationship with Jesus and Mary.
Again, I am happy to being a part of St. Joseph’s!!
-Sarah Lessmann
