ONE CHURCH MANY DISCIPLES PLEDGES
Our parish had a somewhat unique agreement with the Archdiocese regarding our commitment to the building of the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine (via the One Church Many Disciples campaign). We agreed to donate a set amount of $1,100,000 from the $9,000,000 we intended to raise for our facility expansion. Everything pledged and donated above the $1.1 million would return to the parish.
This was a very advantageous agreement for the parish. Other parishes were promised only 50% of the funds donated above the amount designated for the Shrine. Good news: we have raised the money needed to fulfill our obligation to the Archdiocese. What this means is that ALL One Church Many Disciples pledges paid by St. Eugene donors from here onward will be given back to St. Eugene. These monies will be used to build our new Early Childhood Development Center ... more here.

The Knights Coat Drive Was a Huge Success!
The St. Eugene Knights of Columbus Parish Coat Drive brought in more than 450 donated coats. Of these, more than 200 of those coats were for kids. With funds donated, the Knights purchased an additional 50 new coats for kids. These coats will all be distributed to people in need. Thank you to all who contributed!

Crochet Sale Happening Dec. 4 to Support Prison Ministry
St. Anne’s Guild will hold their "biggest sale ever" of crocheted items after 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Dec. 4 in the rotunda. They will have lots of bunnies and ducks that you will want to take home. Please stop by and support this important prison ministry.

Embraces Marriage Enrichment Program

This January St. Eugene will offer a revamped, yearlong marriage enrichment program called "Embraces" on the second Saturday of each month immediately following 5 p.m. Mass.
The relaunch of this exciting and vital ministry has something for everyone, especially for couples with children needing time for themselves. Couples will kick off with a family-style gathering and dinner, followed by age-specific programs for all, and FREE evening care for couples until 10 p.m. for that much-needed date night.
You can reserve your spot now by RSVP'ing below to ensure we have plenty of seating and materials available. We also need a “head count” on the children who will be our guests for the evening.

First Holy Communion Make-Up Meetings
If you missed the parent meeting for First Holy Communion last week please mark your calendars for a make-up meeting! Make-up meetings are as follows:

This is the only way parents can choose a Mass time for their child's First Holy Communion, so please be sure to attend!
Ushers Are Still Needed
Ushers help all Masses run smoothly by seating parishioners, holding doors, giving directions, taking attendance and passing out and collecting donation baskets.
We need ushers at all Masses, especially at the 5 p.m. Saturday Mass. Please consider volunteering your time and talents for this important ministry. On the spot training will be provided; you'll just need to arrive a few minutes early to receive instructions.
Help Our St. Vincent de Paul Ministry
St. Vincent de Paul is receiving an overwhelming demand for financial assistance from families in our area. Families are either receiving cut-off notices or their service has already been cut-off. One gentleman has not had Oklahoma Natural Gas service since June. We helped him get caught up, and he was so happy that he would not have to take any more cold showers.
Another client we served was sitting in the dark with her 8 year old daughter. Thanks to your continued generosity, their service was restored on the same day that she contacted us.

Volunteer for the Dedication of the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine
Please consider volunteering to work at an event during the Dedication of the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine from February 12 to February 17, 2023.
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Tepeyac Hill
On Dec. 11, the gates to the grounds will open at 10 a.m. and people will be able to congregate on the grounds. At 1 p.m. there will a Mass outdoors and the reveal and blessing of the images of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Juan Diego on top of Tepeyac Hill.
Following the Mass, there will be activities and festivities including food trucks, an apparitions play, live music and an opportunity for visitors to go up Tepeyac Hill. The day will conclude around 6 p.m. as the grounds are prepared for the following morning.
On Dec. 12, the morning will begin with Las Mañanitas at 5 a.m., followed by a rosary and Mass outside, pan dulce and the ability for people to visit the grounds and Tepeayc Hill.
Both of these events are free to attend and open to the public. As these are outdoor events, weather conditions may affect the schedule of the day. Be sure to follow the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City for updates regarding any changes due to weather.
